About the UI/UX Designer role
A UI/UX Designer designs how a product works and feels: understanding user needs, mapping flows, wireframing and prototyping solutions, crafting polished interfaces, and validating them with real users. The combined title means owning both the experience logic and the visual layer.
Day to day, the role partners with product managers on problem definition and with engineers on feasibility and implementation quality. Strong designers prototype early, test assumptions cheaply, and maintain design systems that keep the product consistent as it grows.
In your posting, describe your product, the team setup, your design tooling, and how research happens today. Designers evaluate roles by design maturity: whether they will shape decisions or color in specs written by others.
