About the Pharmacist role
A Pharmacist is the last checkpoint between a prescription and the patient. Requirements and skills
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Current pharmacist license in good standing in the state of practice
- Proven experience as a Pharmacist in a retail, hospital, or clinical setting
- Thorough knowledge of drug interactions, dosing, and medication safety practices
- Working knowledge of pharmacy law, DEA regulations, and HIPAA requirements
- Experience with pharmacy management software and dispensing systems
- Immunization certification or willingness to obtain it
- Strong attention to detail and reliable judgment under a high-volume workload
- Clear, patient-friendly communication skills
