Responsibilities
- Patrol the premises regularly on foot or by vehicle to deter and detect security issues

- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control panels and respond to alerts
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies following post orders
- De-escalate conflicts verbally and involve law enforcement when required
- Write accurate incident, activity, and shift-handover reports
- Inspect doors, windows, gates, and lighting, and report hazards or malfunctions
- Assist with emergency evacuations, drills, and first-aid response
- Enforce site rules and safety policies with employees, visitors, and contractors
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a security guard or in a similar security, military, or law enforcement role
- Valid security guard license or registration as required by the state
- Clean background check and, where required, drug screening
- Working knowledge of surveillance systems, access control, and reporting procedures
- Strong observation skills and sound judgment under pressure
- Clear written and verbal communication for reports and radio use
- Physical ability to patrol, stand for extended periods, and respond quickly to incidents
- Availability for the posted shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent
