Responsibilities

- Respond promptly to breakdowns and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime
- Inspect equipment, diagnose root causes, and recommend replacements or upgrades
- Maintain accurate records of work performed in the CMMS or maintenance log
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all OSHA and site safety requirements
- Manage spare parts inventory and order components as needed
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors on specialized repairs
Requirements and skills
- Has maintained equipment as a technician, industrial mechanic, or in a comparable trade role
- Solid across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Reads manuals, schematics, and drawings and works from them
- Confident with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Knows the safety standards, including isolation and lockout procedure
- Records work properly in a maintenance system or structured log
- Available for the shifts, rotations, and callouts this role carries
- A high school diploma; technical or vocational training preferred
Nice to have
- Certification such as an electrical license, EPA 608, or welding qualification
- Experience with PLCs, motor controls, or automation troubleshooting
